⚙️ Efficient Drilling Technology Sets New Records

  • Shale oil drilling cycle significantly shortened: On July 6, well JHW91-13 in the Xinjiang Jimsar national continental shale oil demonstration zone was successfully completed at a total depth of 5,501 meters, with a drilling cycle of only 7.75 days – setting a new domestic record for the shortest drilling cycle for a continental shale oil well of similar depth. The block is described as "squeezing oil from a whetstone," and the technical team achieved precise and efficient drilling in complex formations through advanced technologies such as high-precision seismic imaging and intelligent fault prediction.

  • Comprehensive acceleration of deep-earth drilling: As of July 10, Tarim Oilfield had promoted 16 new drilling acceleration technologies across multiple blocks this year, collectively setting 60 various records. Well Fuyuan 302-H13 completed drilling to 7,906 meters in just 62 days, and Well Fuyuan 3-H7 reached 7,912 meters in 63.28 days, setting the fastest domestic onshore completion record for ultra-deep wells below 7,500 meters with a four‑spud design.
